What a day the fourth graders in Room 307 had on Friday, November 8, 2013!
Tony McGuigan flew in from California to help my class build a wildlife prairie habitat. We dug into the earth, found all sorts of creatures to observe and had a great day planting. A swamp white oak tree was planted at the end of our garden area. Several logs were rolled or placed in the area to provide shelter and resting places for wildlife. Next spring, this area will be blooming with all sorts of plants that will attract many insects, animals and birds to our site.
Check out the mention of our class at another blog that Tony writes for each month.
