We have finished our Zoology Unit. Each student presented a report of facts on an animal of their choosing. The only requirement was to use Biteslides, Powerpoint or Smart Notebook software to create an interesting presentation with video, photos and facts. There were even some jokes, riddles and quiz questions included in the presentations. Once I get the Biteslides closed out, I will attach it here for you to enjoy. The software links all the student work together as one big presentation.
Our Unit test on Zoology will be on Monday, Dec. 16. A study guide was created in class on Friday so that students could study all weekend. The test will be multiple choice. It is important to know all the facts. Most were covered with lessons that were interactive during our unit. I think the students enjoyed holding and observing the skulls of different animals. They got to touch various skins and pelts, too. Ask which pelt was the softest or which one was the scratchiest.
Here is a link to a video on human impact to animals. It actually shares a negative human impact that is corrected by a positive human impact. Watch it and discuss it with your child.
